The case is to show the installation of oil sludge pyrolysis plant in Jiangsu Province, China. This is a state project,  located in local comprehensive waste recycling industrial park. Mingjie Group was chosen to provide two sets of pyrolysis plants with capacity 20T/D. The main purpose of oil sludge pyrolysis project is to reach harmless emission, and create additional economic value. The pyrolysis reactor is made from 310S stainless steel. It meets high standards and extends the service life of the pyrolysis machine.
 
Oil sludge treatment is currently encouraged and supported by Chinese government,  which will need special license for processing the harmful waste. And the oil sludge pyrolysis plant project will get tipping fees from the government.

Prospects of Oil Sludge Pyrolysis Project
 
With the increasingly stringent environmental protection requirements and the continuous improvement of resource recycling awareness, the oil sludge pyrolysis project, as an efficient and environmentally friendly oil sludge treatment technology, has broad development prospects. With the continuous advancement of technology and the gradual reduction of costs, oil sludge pyrolysis technology will be more widely used in the petroleum and petrochemical industry. At the same time, pyrolysis plants are also expected to expand to other oil-containing waste treatment fields.
 
The oil sludge pyrolysis project is an environmental protection project for the treatment of oily sludge, aiming to achieve the reduction, harmlessness and resource utilization of sludge.
 
The oil sludge pyrolysis is a process in which high temperature causes the organic matter in it to undergo thermal decomposition reaction under oxygen-free or oxygen-deficient conditions. The final products of sludge pyrolysis are fuel oil, synthesis gas and solid residue. During the pyrolysis process, the petroleum substances in the sludge will be cracked into small molecular hydrocarbon gases and liquid fuels, such as methane, ethane, gasoline, and diesel. The solid residue is mainly inorganic minerals and a small amount of carbide.
 
Oil Sludge Pyrolysis Process
 
Sludge Pretreatment: First, the sludge is pretreated, including dehydration, impurity removal and other operations. Thereby improving the pyrolysis efficiency and equipment operation stability.
 
Pyrolysis Reaction: The pretreated sludge is sent to the pyrolysis reactor and undergoes pyrolysis reaction under the set temperature and atmosphere conditions. The pyrolysis reactor adopts indirect heating. In order to avoid direct contact of the sludge with the flame, which may cause local overheating and incomplete reaction.
 
Product Separation and Collection: The gaseous products produced by pyrolysis can be recycled as fuel gas after cooling and purification. The liquid products can be separated by processes such as distillation to obtain fuel oil of different qualities. The solid residue can be used to manufacture building materials or landfill after screening, magnetic separation and other treatments.
 
Tail Gas Treatment: The tail gas generated during the pyrolysis process contains a small amount of harmful gases and particulate matter. The tail gas needs to be strictly purified, such as activated carbon adsorption and catalytic combustion). It is discharged into the atmosphere after meeting the environmental emission standards.
