In October 2020, Mingjie delivered a skid-mounted pyrolysis oil distillation system to a Korean customer. The small distillation equipment is equipped with automatic loading and automatic residue oil discharge systems, which is easy to operate. The small distillation equipment can process 100 kg of waste oil or pyrolysis oil per batch. The skid-mounted pyrolysis oil distillation equipment can distill and separate pyrolysis oil to obtain different fraction products. It has the characteristics of integration, modularization and mobility.
MJZ-2 pyrolysis equipment adopts a mobile design and does not require installation. It can be transported to any location by truck. The small distillation machine will be tested and debugged before delivery. The whole set of equipment can be completed in just one 20GP container. The skid-mounted design allows the distillation equipment to be easily moved to different locations for operation. The skid-mounted small distillation equipment is suitable for different pyrolysis oil production sites or temporary operation needs.

Composition of Pyrolysis Oil Distillation Plant
Distillation tower: It is the core component. It is made of stainless steel and has multiple layers of plates or packing inside to provide a place for gas-liquid mass transfer. Pyrolysis oil enters from the middle or lower part of the distillation tower and exchanges heat and mass with the rising steam in the tower.
Heating system: A thermal oil furnace or steam heater is used. It heats the pyrolysis oil to the temperature required for distillation. The heating system can accurately control the heating temperature to ensure the stability of the distillation process.
Condensation cooling system: It consists of a condenser and a cooler. It is used to cool and condense the steam coming out of the top of the distillation tower into liquid. The condenser usually uses a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, and the cooling medium can be water or air. Part of the cooled liquid returns to the distillation tower as reflux liquid to maintain the gas-liquid balance and separation effect in the tower. The other part is output as a product.
Control system: Equipped with an automated control system. It can monitor and control parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc. in real time during the distillation process. To ensure the stability of the distillation process and the stability of product quality.
Skid-mounted structure: The entire distillation system is installed on a skid, including equipment brackets, pipelines, valves, instruments, etc., which are integrated in the skid-mounted frame. The skid-mounted structure facilitates the transportation, installation and commissioning of the equipment, and can be quickly assembled and put into use on site.
Working Principle of Skid Mounted Distillation System
The distillation plant uses the different boiling points of the components in the pyrolysis oil to fractionate in the distillation tower. The fractions with different boiling point ranges are condensed into liquids at different locations.
The lighter fractions (gasoline fractions) have lower boiling points and will condense at the top of the distillation tower.
The heavier fractions (diesel fractions or heavy oil fractions) have higher boiling points and will be collected at the bottom or bottom of the distillation tower.
